대한해부학회 KOREAN ASSOCIATION OF ANATOMISTS

Anatomy & Cell Biology

Introduction to journal

The “Journal of Korean Anatomists” was first published in December 1968, and it was published once a year until 1974. As study condition got improved among Korean universities, members of our association actively involved in research, enabling an increase in the number of publication to twice a year to meet the requisite for academic journal. Since then, more members reported their studies in our journal, significantly increasing the number of research articles. The “Journal of Korean Anatomists” was published quarterly since the 23rd edition in 1990 and six times a year since the 28th edition in 1995. The number of publication was down to quarterly from 40 editions a year in 2007, and the Korean Association of Anatomists renamed the journal to “Anatomy & Cell Biology (ACB)” in the purpose of entering Science Citation Information (SCI) journal list. ACB deals with a variety of subject including the fundamentals of Anatomy (gross anatomy, histology, neuroanatomy, developmental biology) and advanced applications (genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering). All contributions are welcome from anatomists, cell biologists, clinicians, and biological engineers.

Our ACB includes four parts:
(1) original research articles, (2) case reports and techinical reports, (3) short communications and (4) review articles. Submitted articles will be screened by editor and examined by field reviewers under the supervision of the editorial board.
